Is water baptism required

for salvation?

Water baptism isn’t required for salvation. Scripture has many examples of unbaptised people being saved. Abraham and Moses lived at a time where the practise of baptism wasn't something people did, in the same way that circumcision wasn't a practise that Job or Noah would have understood, given there time period. Sometimes people argue that these saved people who never experienced water baptism are an exception, not the norm, either way, not every unbaptised man is lost, and not every water baptised man will be saved.

Still, if you feel on fire for the Lord, find yourself an awesome church family and be baptised. Let everyone know it’s an awesome thing and maybe someday you’ll be baptising young believers yourself. In short, baptism isn't something we have to do, it’s something we get to do.
